Affirmation is an inter-active autosuggestion meditation. It begins with the relaxing breath followed by affirmations such as I am relax, I am calm and I am at peace which are repeated by you with mental pictures of what is relaxing for you; what is calming for you and what does at-peace feel like to you. Biorhythmic music to entrain the heart to 60 beats a minute and an alpha tone to entrain the brain to a calm and peaceful cycle are a part of these calming affirmations. I am relaxed. I am calm. I am at peace. These are simple phrases that become 1000 times more powerful when stated in the presence of a picture. I.e. I am relaxed. The picture, sitting on the beach watching a beautiful sunset.
