I am a sixty year old collector of all things "Alice", and began reading at age five, so I could read my copies of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" in the middle of the night, under the covers with a flashlight. In 2006 I was fortunate to buy an early book she had signed in her married name with a large Victorian flourish along with her Lorgnette still in the box, labeled "Opticians to the King". I purchased both at Sothebys in London when her Grandchildren were given the estate which they decided to liquidate down to her wedding band! Since I regret to find that most children, and adults for that matter, only think of the stories as fairy tales by Disney, I have willed both items and their providence with both items in the Sothebys catalog for this sale, to our Large Inner City Library where other such books are on display so that the children and parents will learn that Alice, the middle child, who Lewis Carol favored. She spent most of her adult life promoting her books and it ended up being produced in as many languages and print copies second only to the Bible! Im thrilled to have found this lovely App that is not only the complete story of "Alice in Wonderland" but has the original illustrations by John Tenniel. I have read the book too many times to count but still find some of the secrets of this brilliant Mathematician, who wrote the books for adults and children, alike, to find his pearls of wisdom. I will now be able to take my favorite book on all my travels and probably still find more hidden gems since I just finished the "Annotated Alice in Wonderland" so Im up on most of the hidden, fascinating mathematics throughout both books! I give this App a PERFECT SCORE! BRAVO! And thank you for permitting all who read this App to realize its not a Walt Disney copy but the original done in the middle 1800s for all to enjoy and learn both literature and mathematics so as a child grows, along with these two very special books, they will have much to share with their children someday!
