It has crashed several times in the first half hour of basic use in which I did little more than write some notes, though it did not lose anything in the crashes. It has barebones functionality. It disables autocorrect. It has functionality which partly replaces autocorrect (which is presumably why autocorrect is disabled) but its no substitute. On the positive side it has predictive typing which seems to be good, and it reads text aloud with some of the best voices on the market, though the interface for that is clumsy. It can read the text in part or in whole at any time, and if you want, it will read the text one word at a time as you type. Overall I am disappointed and am not sure I will be using it.

- An active internet connection is required to create a profile
- When you are online, your profile will automatically sync to AppWriter Cloud.
- Your Profile is always accessible from any iPhone or iPad with AppWriter installed. As long as you have internet connection, you can log out of AppWriter on one device and log in to AppWriter on another device, and your profile will then automatically synchronize your dictionary and your phonetic spelling to that device. If you are not online, changes to your profile will synchronize when you are online again.
PDF reader

You can now open a pdf file and read it aloud in AppWriter. Words will be highlighted as they are being read directly in the pdf file.
