Learn Biology
Really like it but I could really use a few changes
I really hope the developers read this! I really really like this app as a reference tool to use as a teacher. It is clean, very easy to read & find information, and it is very simplified. I have only have a few problems/ suggestions if you at Quizmine read this. Being a middle school science teacher I unfortunately am only allowed to show certain things to my students. We are doing a Human Biology Unit right now and I would really like to use and let my students use this application during this unit but I cant. The reason I cant use your app in my classroom, as absurd as I know this sounds, is because my school deems some of the pictures inappropriate. I know this may sound really stupid but it is the reality of my situation. I do not know if their would be a way for you (the company) to do something to the app that would allow me to block/cut/cover some of the pictures. If you could that, that would just be GREAT!!!!!! My final suggestion/request is to allow for the app to be VGA capable. It would be nice to be able to project it onto my SMART Board as I only have a limited number of IPads in my class (7 IPads for 20-32 students).
Bio Teacher Likes This!!! - with reservation
I am a high school Biology Teacher and I like this app. From what I have seen and used - it is a good reference for anyone - student or not. There are some grammar issues that I hope will be addressed with an update, but not bad overall.
Great Review
I bought this to use with my students. It does a great job of highlighting the important stuff. My students find it easy to look at and use. I love the graphics. I just wish I could use a projector.
Best app for college Bio 101
This is a must have for Bio 101. It follows along perfectly with my lecture and is a huge help during labs. I would be willing to pay 3x more for this app. Its really that good!
Quality app
This is a quality app - great basic information on Biology- exactly the type taught in the average 9th or 10th grade Biology class. The information is easy to read, as it is provided in bullet points. This makes it a great alternative to reading a textbook. There are also a good amount of helpful, yet generic illustrations that help to guide understanding of topics. There are several holes in the content- the information on genetics is rather limited, and there is little provided on proteins - which is essential for a thorough understanding of Biology. All in all- a good buy.
Biology for iPad
This app should offer a quiz (ideally several) on each topic covered rather just on the select few provided. The graphics are good -clear and focused, however no audio. Optional audio would be a plus.
