From its humble roots as that single store alongside the Pacific Coast Highway, Canyon Beachwear has grown to seven locations throughout California and New York, helmed by President Kathleen Egan Mudd – who started as a shopgirl in the original store during high school – and CEO William H. Mudd. In 1988, newlyweds Kathleen and William purchased the company from its founders. Merging William’s business acumen with Kathleen’s fashion expertise, Canyon Beachwear has since become the swimwear destination for the upscale, fashion-oriented and hard-to-fit woman.
