Getting better all the time

This app gets better with every release. When they complete what they say they are going to add in 2017, it will be a 5-star app. Encrypted journal entries is the most important of what is still lacking. And I would love to see an auto-save feature for those times when I have just finished a masterpiece entry and forgot to select save.

Brilliant! Everything works smoothly, very user-friendlly, syncs with all my devices, attractive elegant design! Has a map function and accepts photos! One of the smartest & best designed apps Ive ever used! Id like to give it 10 stars!!

Absolutely Essential

Day One is a mainstay for me, and I truly appreciate its constant improvement. The interface tweaks recently are great, and the features are robust and enjoyable. The sync is smooth and painless. One of the great apps.

A Little Buggy But The Best Ive Found

Ive been using this app at least 2X weekly for more than three years and I think its great. I had tried a bunch of others but for various reasons found them inadequate. Day One does everything I need it to do. Id rate it 5-stars, but it does throw odd things back at me occasionally. For instance, the current version opens and exposes my last entry for anyone who has access to my iPad - thankfully, I use a password on my iPad. If I didnt, however, anyone poking the Day One icon would be taken right to my last entry and thats an obvious problem. They cant get past that entry without entering my Day One pass code, but still. Hope they fix that. Didnt used to do that. On balance, Im really happy and would recommend to a friend.

Day One employee CAN read your private journal! We Need End-to-End Encryption!!

They have promised an end-to-end encryption since they forced users to use their DayOne sync. Without the end-to-end encryption, users data are openly available to any person who has access to DayOnes server. ANYONE in DayOne can read your dairy, for fun or for any other reason. Of course they promised that only some key employees can access to your data in a certain situation. But it is just a "promise". They also promised to have the end-to-end encryption by May 2016 and now its less than a week to May 2017, did they keep their promise? Not to say if their server is hacked, all your personal information, your diary and secret are all available to anyone on the internet. Their employees are humans like you and me, and humans do stupid and unethical things. They need to put the promised End-to-End Encryption on their customers personal data to keep these stupid and unethical humans out. I like this app, it is no doubt the best journal app in the market. Good design, good functionality. However, without the end-to-end encryption, I dont feel safe having my personal data and diary on their server, especially with their bad record of not keeping the promise.
