June 6th, 1944. D-Day is the Allied operation that launched the successful liberation of German-occupied Western Europe during World War II.
In Frontline: The Longest Day, players command the Allied forces through some of the most famous battles of the war, freeing Europe from the hands of the German Army. The game takes place over five massive, engaging and challenging missions, all inspired by historical missions which took place during operation Overlord: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Cherbourg, Sword & Juno.
Players are faced with tough decisions and will have to think through the options to take advantage of terrain, use their combat techniques wisely and make sure they leverage the special ability of each unit to overcome the enemy and get Europe back in safe hands.
FEATURES
Land, and aerial combat: all units have strengths and weaknesses encouraging different uses, adding an extra strategic layer to the game. There are over 80 of them!
Units will upgrade throughout the game, based on combat success and experience. This will prove to be an extremely powerful tool to progress in the game providing the players with a personalized army depending on their style of play.
Complex combat mechanics and special abilities for all units such as: Flanking manoeuvres, encirclements, suppression, combat fatigue, penetration, deflection, removing landmines, artillery support, airstrikes, transport, sandbags, march, APCR ammunition, incendiary grenades, smoke grenades, artillery barrages, reinforce & resupply.
Maps are created to reflect the real terrain and their dramatic impact on the historical situation.
A unique visual style using detailed and realistic units representations.

Très ennuyeux:il suffit d encercler les unites pour les detruire ce qui est très facile
Ungenutztes Potential
Dieses Spiel hätte das Potential zu einem heimlichen Star: eine kleine, feine Konfliktsimulation um die Landung der Alliierten in der Normandie. Die Grafik ist ansprechend, die Benutzerführung einfach und verständlich, die Karte übersichtlich. Doch leider, leider verschenkt das Spiel diese Stärken vollkommen: es handelt sich um eine Konfliktsimulation, also der Versuch, eine reale Kampfhandlung realistisch nachzubilden. Damit das spielbar ist, muss der Spieler die Abbildung (= die Spielregeln) verstehen. Leider gibt es keinerlei Anleitung, Hilfefunktion oder einen sonstigen Hinweis, was die Icons bedeuten, was die Eigenschaften der gegnerischen Einheiten sind oder sogar wie die Spielmechanismen (z.B. "Flankieren") genau funktionieren. Außer einigen knappen Dialogen gibt es einfach keine Information zu dem Spiel, auch nicht online. So kann man seine Zeit damit verbringen, etliche Spiele lang durch die Landschaft zu stolpern und dumme Fehler zu machen, bis man - vielleicht - die Regeln verstanden oder einige Feinheiten herausbekommen hat. Dazu kommt, dass das Spiel einige Fehler aufweist. Nervig ist, dass Einheiten munter in sichtbare Minenfelder laufen, auch wenn es einen Weg um sie herum gäbe. Unverzeihlich dagegen, dass das Spiel immer wieder wenn der Gegner an der Reihe ist einfriert. Dann hilft nur abbrechen und ganz von vorne starten. Alles in Allem erscheint das Spiel wie ein ungeschliffener Edelstein, das mit etwas Liebe durch die Entwickler zu einem Juwel für Strategiespieler werden könnte. In seinem aktuellen Zustand aber nur für Hardcore-KoSi-Liebhaber zu empfehlen.

Geld ausgegeben, für ein Spiel was nach ein paar Runden abstürzt...! Bitte nachbessern!!!
Gutes Prinzip - Bugs ohne Ende
Schon Road to Moscow war cool, drum dachte ich mir wird das auch so sein... Nach der ersten Mission sind allerdings schon so unfassbar viele Bugs aufgetreten.... Die Top 3: Die Anzahl unter den Einheiten wird nicht angezeigt. Die Panzer fahren Incl dem landungsboot auf die Insel... Wenn man ein Spiel speichert und wieder lädt sind alle entschärften minen wieder da -.- truppen die noch da sind können nicht angegriffen werden... Ich könnte noch so einiges aufzählen. Ich bin sehr enttäuschtes slitherine hier abliefert.
Was soll der scheiss?
Nach dem iOS Update nur noch Schrott !!! Wo sind die Nummern der Einheiten hin ?!? Warum kostet ein Spiel Geld wenn der Entwickler sich um nichts mehr kümmert !? Das ist doch vorsätzlicher Betrug !!! Das macht doch keinen Sinn mehr

Ist nach dem gleichen Muster gemacht wie das Ostfrontspiel von Seitherine. P&L Verhältnis sowie Spielstunden/EUR ratio sind super.
