You can also choose to rotate the map so your direction is always shown straight ahead…this capability was previously only available to 3GS owners with a built in compass!
For newer devices with a built-in compass: this app uses the more accurate hardware to improve the existing compass and map apps on your device by allowing you to see the direction you are facing directly on the map while keeping the top of the map facing north. In other words, the directional cone on the map will rotate, not the map itself, if you like.
Please note, this app is made to work with the GPS capabilities of the iPhone 3G or 3GS. Models without GPS will probably not work. Models with GPS but without a compass will need to be moving in order for your heading to be determined.
