Incredibly useful!

I recently used the Guthook App on the PCT and it was incredibly useful to plan and monitor progress, set an itinerary and be aware of water and campsites. ????

Pretty good

This app works pretty good I feel like the mileage was off sometimes and there are a lot more campsites that could be labeled too.

The 11th essential

This app was handy for knowing next available water and camp sites along the trail. Viewing elevations worked well although a couple of passes were a bit off. Even with GPS turned on, the app was power efficient. GPS was slow to non-working when overcast, but I dont think that was the apps fault. When an area was marred by numerous use trails, this app was able to direct me to the correct trail without error. Worth every penny.

Unreliable

Liked and used the app at first, all worked well. Liked the distance tracking (ex. distance to next tent site, water, etc). But after a few days use, App stopped working correctly. The app kept/only showed me at the start of the JMT even though I was well into the hike.

Indispensible

By far the best way to navigate the JMT. Very stable. No issues at all. You can leave your phone in airplane mode and then when you need to see where you are on the trail you can hit a button in the app to turn the gps on. This app is much better than using a stand-alone gps unit. You get better graphics and more info like water sources and campsites. Cant praise this app enough.

A JMT MUST

I loved this app & it should be the first thing you get. Download this app and use it throughout your hike, make sure to have a power source.

Good jmt assistance

Its new so it doesnt have all the campsites or a lot of users providing info from the trail. But the GPS function is cool and its a nice addition to the maps while out there. And cust feedback was quick and accurate.
