HIARCS is a multiple World Championship winning chess program and the only handheld chess program in the world which has won matches and tournaments with Grandmasters. It twice won the Mercusor Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina ahead of Grandmasters with a performance of 2900 Elo, the best chess performance rating for any handheld device in history.

Presque parfait
Jai longtemps hésité avec chess genius et cest la bibliothèque douverture qui ma décidée. Très bien faite, incroyablement fournie, les différents coups douverture possibles sont affichés ET annotés sous léchiquier! Il manque toutefois laffichage au fur et à mesure, du nom de louverture dans laquelle vous êtes engagé, ce qui napparait quà la fin des coups répertoriés dans la bibliothèque. Cerise sur le gâteau, le moteur de Hiarcs est probablement le plus puissant qui soit et les graphisme sobres sont à mon goût très réussis. Cela dit lappli plante régulièrement si vous modifiez les options en cours de jeu. Il manque aussi les fonctions qui font que chess genius est peut-être un meilleur choix : lexcellente option "next best move" pour forcer le moteur à jouer une ouverture ou un coup qui vous intéresse. La possibilité dimporter des PGN. Et surtout, pouvoir abandonner ou offrir une partie nulle enfin surtout abandonner. Vu que le programme offre la fonction de sadapter à votre niveau, il est dommage de quitter le jeu en cours sans avoir gagné ou perdu la partie. Et il faut être un brin maso pour persister des heures dans une partie perdue davance. Bref, vu le prix, extrêmement prometteur mais pas très abouti.

Nullissime! Je ny comprends rien! Comment on fait pour jouer sans le temps ?? 1 voire 2 étoiles de plus quand le jeu sera plus agréable, la on ne joue pas aux échecs on joue a il sert a quoi ce bouton?
strongest chess engine/ IA la plus forte
While the user interface could be improved, the chess engine is the strongest you can find. Bien que linterface soit perfectible, ce programme est le plus fort de tous ceux que jai acheté (et je crois avoir acheté tous les principaux).
Décevant
Ce logiciel sadresse aux joueurs déchecs ayant un niveau au delà de 2400 ELO, les autres ne feront pas la différence . Je préfère pour ma part le très bon Shredder ou tChess qui sont bien mieux à tous les niveaux . ChessGenius est très bon aussi. Ici, dans HIARCS, linterface est complexe peu ergonomique et manque de clarté . Typique tu bon matheux qui pense quon comprend ses gribouillis simiesques et confus... Il est bon, mais il est le seul à le savoir. Même le graphisme laisse à désirer . Enfin cest le plus cher de tous les programmes déchecs ! Passez votre chemin.

Tout est dans dit : puissance, fonctionnalités, richesse des options et paramètres... Et pour linterface, elle est excellente dans son genre (effectivement moins ludique que dautres, comme celle de shredder par exemple, mais cest justement ce qui me plait). Alors nécoutez pas les blaireaux perdus dès quon leur met une app de haut niveau comme celle-ci sous le nez, quils retournent jouer au Scrabble.
