The original program froze my 1st generation iPhone, but the upgrade has fixed the problem. The maps are ineresting and informative; a great many seem to be from early 20th century historical atlases that are now in the public domain. A searchable index of the map titles would be very helpful.

Interesting and Informative

Really great. It would be nice to have some more statistical maps and some more current ones as well. All in all, a great resource.
Many very interesting maps, but...
Worth downloading for history and map fans, but some of the maps (such "Seat of the Civil War") do not show when selected. I downloaded and installed it on my iPhone twice, but still had some problems. An update that corrected the problem maps would be appreciated.
I love these maps!
Great app. Wonderful maps. Im a big history buff and love having these maps available at my fingertips without being on line or having to carry some large book with me every where. And some of the maps in this app I not only did not exspect, but were totally surprised by and had never seen before. Their free World History maps app was so good I knew I had to buy this one. But, that brings up my only complaint. I would own all of their other historical map apps if it wasnt for the price. It seems just a little too steep when compared to the price of most other apps. Is it worth it? Maybe. But, if the prices were a lot lower, I would have boughten all their historical map series of apps. The two I own are great. But, its their high price that keeps me from buying the others or giving this app the 5 stars it may other wise deserves.
doesnt work
Dowloaded, restarted iPhone, synchronized, reloaded app, etc..... Press the icon, goes to starting screen, hangs for several seconds and then.... crashes. The other apps in the series that I purchased work fine.
Garbage
I had the same problem as the guy below me. The app crashes. I tried downloading it three times and it wouldnt open. I would like my $5 back and i dont think anyone else should purchase this app. Please make an update so i can use this app for more than 3 seconds.

Im having the same problems as others. Ive tryed to download and run the program three times to no avail. Ive rebooted the iphone between loads. The slash screen loads, times out, and closes or crashes. The iphone doesnt lock up, but no app loads. I have an IPhone 3 with an updated OS.
