The IHS Activity Tracker™ mobile app enables IHS Markit™ subscribers to monitor US upstream oil and gas activity. The application connects the user with data on newly permitted or spudded wells, including information about the permits, drilling progress and objectives, and drilling contractor details. Various reports and associated charts enable users to follow rig and permit activity at the national, state and country levels.

Users also get access to offshore rig counts by region, country, rig type, status and manager, and can see the total number of rigs versus contracted units. All data on Offshore Rig Activity comes from the industry’s premier databases RigPoint and RigBase.
