iMemento comes with some pre-installed flashcard sets that are meant to demonstrate the use of the program.
But the main intended use of iMemento is to study your own flashcards.
iMemento is also especially suited to study vocabularies for school. A lesson can be individually created on the Mac or PC. You can then learn it very comfortable with your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad whenever you have some spare time.

HOW TO CREATE OWN FLASHCARDS:
Use a simple text editor that comes with your operating system to create own sets of flashcards.
HOW TO TRANSFER FILES:
To transfer files to your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad it needs to be connected to your local network via WLAN. Your Mac or PC has to be connected to the same local network.
Now you can use the standard web browser that comes with your Mac or PC.
With the browser you can access the flashcard files on your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad or upload flashcard files to your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.
FILE FORMATS:
iMemento is able to read simple text files in which the question and answer is on its own line and flashcards are separated by an empty line.
Furthermore iMemento can read csv- and tsv-files which can be exported from many other programs (e.g. OpenOffice or Excel), so that you can migrate easily if you already use flashcards in another (desktop) flashcard program.
DESKTOP APPLICATIONS: To setup the connection between the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and your Mac (or PC) you need a web browser. To create flashcards a simple text editor is required.
Both applications are typically already installed with your operating system. On Mac you can use the standard browser Safari and the text editor Textedit. On Windows (XP) use the Internet Explorer as browser and Notepad as text editor.

Après avoir testé de nombreuses applications de flashcards pour étudier le Japonais, jai choisi iMemento pour plusieurs raisons: - créations de liste sur son ordinateur dans un simple fichier texte - envoi sur liPhone via nimporte quel navigateur - interface simple, intuitive et finalement la plus efficace (ce quon cherche avec ce genre dapplication cest dêtre efficace avant tout non ?) - depuis les dernières mises à jour, choix de la taille daffichage des caractères, ce qui manquait, notamment pour lire les kanjis et les kanas du Japonais Bref, merci au développeur et longue vie à iMemento !
Funktioniert super
Auch als nicht Mac-Nutzer hatte ich keine Probleme neue "Kartenboxen" hinzuzufügen. Es gibt sehr viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten für die Darstellung der Karteikarten (Schriftgröße etc.). Eine echt runde Sache und deutlich einfacher zu transportieren als einen riesen Berg Karteikarten!

Genial
Das Programm ist einfach genial. Man gibt die Vokablen oder was es auch immer ist am PC ein und lädt sie dann auf das iPhone. Schade nur das man keine Vokablen im Gerät eingeben kann. Den Preis find ich viel zu teuer. Ich hatte davor das Programm "SuperMemo" um meine Vokabeln zu lernen. Damit hat man die Vokablen auch sehr gut gelernt aber ihrgendwann hatte ich keine Lust mehr jeden Tag die Wiederholungen zu machen. Mit diesem Programm kann ich mir einteilen wann ich die Vokablen machen will. Wenn ich gerade mal keine Zeit habe mache ich sie einfach morgen. Das ist echt gut. Mein IPA - Scanner sagt zwar das dieses Programm Spyware ist, dass glaube ich aber nicht. Das Programm will zwar Statisikten senden, doch diese kann man unterdrücken indem man auf das "i" drückt und dann das sende der Statistiken ausschaltet. (Würde ich empfehlen) Doch im großen und ganzen ein echt gutes Programm. Ich empfehle für alle sich erstmal die Lite Version zu laden und dann sich zu überlegen es zu kaufen. Denn 2,99€ sind echt viel Geld dafür.
So macht Lernen Spaß...
Sehr gute App, leicht bedienbar und das Lernen macht Spaß!! :-) Einziger Wunsch wäre noch eine Suchfunktion, damit man gezielt nach eingegebenen Wörtern suchen kann. Vielleicht ist das ja in einem Update irgendwann möglich?

Tut genau was es soll und das gut/einfach/schick. Zudem toller Support vom Entwickler! Ich hoffe auf kleinere Updates, vll auch mit neuen Motiven? Ist 2,99€ wert, weiter so!
