The iO app is free to use and available to all smartphone users worldwide. iO is an app that allows you to chat with friends, make video calls and send files. And thanks to LiveChat and VideoChat, chatting is now even more fun.
You save on roaming costs when travelling abroad, as you can make unlimited calls to Switzerland free of charge. Your calls and chats are encrypted, and all of your data is stored securely on Swisscom servers in Switzerland.

Seitdem ich die App geupdated habe funktioniert sie nicht mehr. Sie schließt sich sofort beim Öffnen. Habe ein iPhone 6S (iOS 9.3.1, kein Jailbreak!).
Problemlos
Funktioniert wie beschrieben, nur schade dass keine Videotelefonie mit nicht iO Kontakten möglich ist.
iO Swisscom besser als WhatsApp
Nach meiner Meinung ist die "iO Swisscom Ltd." App besser als WhatsApp und zudem auch noch sicherer! WhatsApp übermittelt die Daten direkt an ihre Tochterfirma Facebook... alles was Edward Snowden an die Öffentlichkeit gebracht hat, haben die meisten Menschen schon wieder verdrängt und unsere Daten sind so wertvoll
