Paid for app downloads include one issue of the user’s choice. Free app downloads come with no free issue unless otherwise stated. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the next released issue.
Available subscriptions are:
12 months: £34.99/ US$ 49.99 [12 issues]
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period, you will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased
Bundles of single issues can be also be bought within the application. To use purchased credits, simply click on the issue price and select ‘use credit’. This allows you to purchase back issues at reduced prices.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Funktioniert nicht, kein Support
Abo abgeschlossen, aktuelle Männer Ausgabe Januar kann nicht geladen werden, Februarausgabe wird nicht angezeigt. Stattdessen kann ich den Spartacus Traveler laden, was hat der mit dem Männer Magazin zu tun? Support antwortet nicht. Mal sehen was Apple sagt.
Gutes braucht seine Zeit
Das gilt zum einen für den Erscheinungstermin für die App (es galt erst mal lange zu warten) als auch für den Download des ersten Magazins (es galt erst mal lange zu warten)... Dann aber kriegt man genau das, was man auch am Kiosk bekam: Eine Zeitschrift mit interessanten Artikeln - leider ohne die iPad-typischen "Extras". Daher nur drei Sterne. Den vierten Stern gibts bei blitzgeschwindem Download und den fünten Stern bei einem Magazin mit Online-Extras und Links. Hier kann sich die "Männer" noch eine Scheibe vom Magazin "View" abgucken.
Nicht herunterladen
Wer eine Zeitung kaufen will und dann nur die Hälfte lesen will ist wahrscheinlich besser bedient wenn er sich eine Zeitung in Papierform kauft und dann die Hälfte wegschmeißt so kann er nämlich noch entscheiden welche Artikel er lesen will und welche nicht. Für mich ist das rausgeworfenes Geld! Danke für nichts!!!

Eure Themen sind immer sehr gut recherchiert, tolle Interviews mit interessanten Partnern. Große Klasse und Danke, dass ihr nun auch Themen des "Körperkults" so umfassend beleuchtet. Bodybuilding und Ernährungshilfen sind bei mir immer Willkommen - weiter so!
App so lala, wie der Inhalt
Leider finde ich das Handling, neue Ausgaben herunter zu laden, nicht sonderlich gut. Ab und an gibt es Fehler, nach zwei drei Versuchen klappt dann der Download. Das Magazin bzw. die einzelnen Artikel sind nicht für das iPad aufbereitet, wie in anderen Magazinen, sondern das Magazin wird 1:1 wie die Printausgabe abgebildet. Das lesen macht durch diesen Umstand leider kaum Spaß, ständiges Zoomen und scrollen nerven ein wenig, besonders bei einen iPad ohne Retina bzw. auch mit einen iPad mini, ist der Text leider schlecht lesbar. Zusatzfunktionen gibt es so weit ich sehen konnte leider keine. Die App hat also noch viel Potenzial...
