I like the guidebook a lot, but this app is worthless. First, the map wont let you zoom all the way, leaving out some major turns. Outside of cities or towns, the map does not even give the names of the roads. Also, the points of interest are not on the map, and you have to toggle back to the text to find them. Google maps is much better.

Not what I expected
Very helpful
The app was a huge help on our recent trip to Maui. From finding restaurants to locating sights and attractions the app came through consistently. Well worth the cost.
Beyond helpful!
Ive used this book on three Hawaii trips and this edition for Maui is really great. The ability to simply click from a listing into directions (especially for finding out if the way beaches!) made it so easy to find things and there are a few gems in this version that werent in the previous version.
Love this app!
We used this for our trips to Maui in 2013 & 2015. Just downloaded the 7th edition since we will be returning in 2017. Extremely helpful with suggestions both by location on island (South Maui, West Maui) and by category (dining, shopping). We had a guidebook as well but found we used the app much more often. The large island map and ability to tap around for more specific information was one of the best features. ~ Maui Girl Chapel Hill, NC
Excellent Resource
Got the printed book, which led me to finding the App. Its the perfect vacation-in-Maui companion. Whenever I was in a place anywhere on the island, or planning to go somewhere, all I had to do was touch the map and find out all the good things that were nearby. The associated reviews were articulate, insightful, funny, and useful. Became an integral part of our trip.
Dont visit Maui without it!!
This app was recommended to me a few months ago. Not really excited about paying for something like this but based on my experience using it, dont know how I could have enjoyed Maui without it. Tons of research and unbelievable commentary on everything reviewed!! So well done!! After our first day (9-9-16), we literally did not go anywhere without first checking things out using this app!! There were a couple of places we went that were not on the app (i.e. Relish Oceanside) and it was miserable. You guys are the BOMB and did an UNBELIEVABLE job!!
Do NOT Come to Maui Without This App!
My wife and I have been coming to Maui for many years and have tried various resources to better understand how to make the best use of our time, discover something new and confirm weve chosen "best bets" in the past. OK, there simply arent enough superlatives to describe the value of this app! We found the book in our condo and thankfully saw the reference to the app. Literally, everything in the book is in it! You must download this app as necessary items for your trip to paradise! Enjoy!!
