Using iPad 2. Since updating to iOS 7.1 all of a sudden app is starting to freeze up when I try to pinch to zoom or page forward after a few pages. Does not help to delete open Apps, do a hard reset, or shut down and reopen App. Hope it gets resolved as I was finding it very useful!.

Freezing app
Awful...
I was very excited to see this app available on the iPad! Often I am traveling and I like to be able to read my local paper which unfortunately is not available often. I made a purchase already for a $1.99 (a Saturday edition) and one week and a half later... I still have been unable to read it. Every time I try to open the paper, it starts trying to download or re-download every single time. The Saturday edition seems to be about 37 MB but it takes a very long time to download. I have yet to see it complete the download and when I try to restart, it disappeared entirely and Ive not been able to find a way to re-download that particular edition. Sadly, I must recommend to avoid this app as it is obviously not up to Apple standards. Its too bad. I really want to like this app. Maybe in a few months I will try it again, but for now I have to know choice but to recommend avoiding it.
Cant even log in
Even though I am already a suscriber and should have access to it, I cannot log in. The ereader needs to be activated from a pc... Why on a pc?? Its so cumbersome and dépassé. I naively thought in 2014 all websites had mobile acces but I guess I was wrong. Will delete for sure.
