Description
Network Ping is a software test tool for maintaining and debugging network problems on a local area network (LAN). Get an easy view for a full subnet on a single screen. Look at the screen to the left displaying the status for devices 192.168.2.0 - 192.168.2.255. Green and the device is working, yellow, there is a problem, and red, the device is not any longer on the LAN.
Need telnet access to a router, no problem, a Telnet console application is also included.

Petit utilitaire sympa
Funktioniert gut, trotzdem nicht ganz zufrieden
Das kann auch an dem merkwürdigen Zwitter-Charakter dieses Programmpakets liegen. Einerseits ist es deutlich mehr als nur das Tool für den "Ping zwischendurch", sondern schon eine kleine Toolbox. Andererseits reicht aber diese Toolbox in Umfang und Ausführung demjenigen nicht, der eine solche braucht. So fehlt z.B. ein simples DNS Lookup oder (darauf aufbauend) der NameScan eines Bereiches. Der PingScan eines IP-Bereiches mit diesem Tool ist zwar sehr nett, seine winzige Anzeige aber nichts für Brillenträger. Ein Export der Ergebnisse ist nicht möglich. Dasselbe gilt auch für Traceroute - wo ich darüber hinaus auch die Anzeige der Namen vermisse. Angesichts des zuverlässigen Funktionierens der vorhandenen Funktionen ist es schon etwas Meckerei, was ich hier betreibe. Dennoch bleibt das Gefühl, daß Leute, die das wirklich brauchen, eben mehr bräuchten als nur die angebotenen Funktionen. Ich freue mich auf die nächsten Updates.

Stabil und macht was es verspricht. Einfache Bedienung. Mir gefällt das Pingen des Subnet. Für die Devicelist hätte ich gerne mehr Icons z.B. für Drucker, Kameras oder NAS
