** NightCap Pro is also available! It’s NightCap with video recording, iPad support, light booster, noise reduction and ultra long exposure modes. **

NightCap is the original real long exposure camera for iPhone, boosting light by up to 15x for brighter, clearer photos in low light. Since launching over 2 years ago its been hugely popular even with professional photographers.

It’s a simple one-touch camera that gives dramatically better results - brighter shots, less graininess. It’s finely balanced, easy to use combined with high performance.

Easy one-touch functions:

• Night Mode puts the camera into a special mode, giving the best possible low light performance
• Quick, separate locking of Exposure (EXP), Focus (FOC) and White Balance (WB)
• Zoom control (camera-style for easy, smooth zoom)

NightCap includes a full set of pro tools too:

• Manual exposure
• Optional high quality JPEG or perfect quality TIFF photos
• Live shutter speed and ISO display
• On-screen grid to aid composition
• Adjustable self-timer
• Adjustable automatic burst mode

Features:

• Full resolution photo output on all devices
• Long exposure photos in Night Mode (to the maximum your device supports, between 1/3s and 1s)

Tips:

• Hold Steady for a blur-free shot. Tuck your elbows into your ribs and hold your device in both hands for a steady grip, or rest your device on a solid surface.
• The darker it gets, the slower it goes. To increase brightness, NightCap slows the camera down (especially in Night Mode), giving it more time to absorb more light, but it also slows down focusing and makes it easier to blur the photo by moving the camera.
• No camera works in complete darkness! NightCap needs some light to work its magic.

Tips and support on the web: www.nightcapcamera.com

Compatibility:

• Requires iOS 7
• Compatible with iPhone 4 and later
• Zoom requires iPhone 4S or later

Slow, unusable with iPhone 4

The app tends to crash due to how taxing it is as a resource, even on the very capable iPhone 4 hardware. It is. It optimized, and is quite buggy. Too bad--it has potential!

Horrible

This app simply doesnt work. Every sort of trouble shooting Ive attempted is for naught-- reinstalling, changing the location crap, asking for help, change settings, etc. Even just opening the app is slow. I was so hopeful. I wish it worked, but it doesnt. Dont waste your money on this one.

Great low light shots

But clumsy interface

This is my default low-light camera

Hands down the best for low light-night time shooting, personally I use it with a mini tripod even when im taking a self portrait outside with friends ( sit it on the roof of my car) just set up the shot, set the timer and GO,the app does such a good job with the automatic exposure that I very rarely have to go into the settings....next I wanna use night mode with Camera Boost( when he fixes it) dying to try low light HDR

Hands down the best low light app in the AppStore.

For those of you that give this a low rating, try learning how to use this app. It takes great pictures in low light conditions, but you need to have a steady hand. After all, the shutter is remaining open longer than in the regular camera apps.

Keeper

Not the most intuitive app around, but paired with a GorillaPod (or other tripod) & an iStabilizer (any-case friendly!!

Instalove

Night shots are perfect Just need to keep a steady hand. The burst shots help a lot. Play around with it a bit and find what works for you. You dont need to get tag it. I dont know what that one guy thinks is wrong with this. I think that this may work better on a 4s or 5. I love this app. Wish I had this when the power went out in San Diego
