SCAM! Do not buy!

I bought this and all you get is the cover! So you basically pay to get 1 useless page! This should be removed immediately!

Slow

This app is terribly slow, and I dont see any way to advise app of my already existing subscription to the print magazine.

Love the magazine, hate the app

Ive been a subscriber to the print version of OPC almost from the beginning (missed the first issue). Its a great magazine, and Im happy that I can finally replace my dead-tree subscription with a digital version. But I hate the app! Its slow, confusing and has quite a few quirks. I wish they had gone with a proven solution such as Zinio instead of rolling their own. I also wish I could download the magazine to my Mac (which Zinio allows).

Needs improvement

Biggest complaint is that the photos viewed in full screen on my retina-iPad looked really bad, jagged lines visible until I zoomed in. Especially in a photography-based magazine, photos should be made to display properly all the time. Overall page and article navigation really needs to be improved as its kind of clunky. Theres just too much manually zooming in and out required. Should be able to just tap an article title and zoom full screen to it. Please look at the iPad versions of magazines such as National Geographic Traveller. This should be the gold standard of how a magazine is formatted for reading on a tablet (ie very easy, intuitive page navigation and incredible photos properly scaled that take advantage of retina displays).

Quite the disappointment.

Looks terrible on my Ipad 3. Retina display should allow a full page properly rendered with readable text. Sadly this is not the case. I subscribed to the "paper version" of this magazine only missing issue #1. I find the ipad version not quite ready for prime time. Hopefully future updates will fix this issue. Until then, count me out!

Outdoor Photo poor

Ive read a number of online ebooks on Kobo, Kindle and in PDF format. I must say this is the poorest implementation of an ebook reader I have ever used. While the ability to zoom in exists, if you arent careful it results in viewing half of the page I intended to read and half of another page. Had I realized I was buying a product that doesnt work, I would have stuck with the paper copy. I hope this gets resolved soon. If it doesnt, I wont be renewing my subscription.

Awful

Not retina compatible!!! Its all pixelated! In a photography magazine. Really.
