After about a week and a half, my 3yr old son was finally potty trained. He was used to pullups, which Im told is a bad idea. He only liked to go while covered, rather than on the toilet. We went cold turkey, I put him in undies with diapers only for sleeping overnight. This app let me time his trips to the potty all day. Started with 30 minute intervals until he got better at holding it, kept adding 10mins until we reached 1.5 hrs. Kept him in sweatpants to help absorb occasional accidents. I noticed he did not like to go in his undies while he was close to people or out of the house. So instead of avoiding outings for fear of accidents away from home, I took him out more often. Out of his comfort zone, he showed more restraint. We actually never had an accident outside of the house. The app let me track his successes and failures, and helped to prove me wrong when I felt he was not making progress--this would have otherwise discouraged me. He did have fewer and fewer accidents as the days went by. I stopped rewarding him with sweets and tablet time, and stuck to just verbal praise and high fives. After about a week, I started to tell him to hurry up and go pee so we could go play. And found out he knew how to go on command. I would tell him when I had to go myself, and brought him with me so he would follow my example. Once we hit about the 9 day mark, he stopped having accidents, and would tell me when he had to go. Always expecting a smile and a high five as reward for going potty. He announces when he does it with pride now. Potty training was stressful at first. I dreaded it. But once I committed, using this app, it was very fulfilling to see him grow more disciplined. I was really proud. I donated to the developer. Hope my story helps others. And if the app works for you, I definitely recommend donating. I no longer need the app. It did its job well. Thanks, dev!

Great!
Awesome Potty App!
I downloaded this app in hopes that it would help potty train my 3 year old son. It has been a constant battle trying to get him to use it. My son took to this app right away and really liked getting "Stars" every time he used the potty. He absolutely loves that he can earn a "Reward" that we agree upon when he earns a certain number of Stars. Its a very simple and use friendly app. Thanks more making such a great app! Please add sound and I will give 5 stars instead of 4 stars. I donated to this app. I would donate even more if this app had sound. My child and I loved Perfect Potty!
Awesome
This app works
More efficient than others
This app is pretty basic, which is exactly what I need. I dont have time to fill out a five item questionnaire every time my toddler uses the potty... yet I need to keep track of frequency, time of day etc. Four stars, because the only feature it is lacking is a simple pee/poo/both button.
Love it!
So far I love this app. My only complaint is that I would like to have the ability to input pee/poo/both.
Notes by one of the creators.
Hello! My name is Geoff Hom. I am one of the creators of Perfect Potty ?. Here, I want to mention stuff beyond Perfect Pottys description. Perfect Potty has three main benefits: 1) You can keep track of a childs potty attempts and whether they were successful ? or not ✘. You can then look at that history to look for patterns. For example, is the child more successful in the evening ? than in the morning ?? Note: With the current version, you may now enter any character/symbol to denote a given potty attempt. This was in response to user requests to discern pee/poo/both, but also accidents vs successful attempts, etc. So, you can use any letter you like and come up with your own notation! Potties noted as successful will be green, and unsuccessful will be red. You may even use emoji, which are little pictures like the poo ?! To access emoji, use Apples Settings app and look for something like General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Emoji. You may then use Emoji anywhere you can type text. (When looking at the virtual keyboard, tap the ? icon to switch between emoji and regular letters.) 2) You can assign and keep track of rewards ? for the child. For example, after 3 successful potties, give her an ice cream cone ?. 3) You can set a timer ⏰ for when to ask your child to use the potty. What other benefits would help you? What sound effects would be helpful to you? We know no app is really Perfect. For example, Perfect Potty will run on an iPad, but its hard to find in the App Store since its listed under iPhone apps. And the UI doesnt take utilize landscape orientation or an iPads larger screen size. Well continue to listen to your feedback and improve Perfect Potty. So, please rate this app, and give your own honest review! Include your favorite potty-training tip, and we may mention it in a future version! Geoff
Great app
I would love a repeat option for the reminder so i can remind my daughter every hour without having to reset it. Also i wish the reminder was like an alarm and kept going until I turned it off. I have missed the reminder because it only chimes once and I didnt hear it.
