App is dull.
Like it...
Good overall review for many classes of drugs. Presented as a brief case presentation on one side of the card, and the medication/side effects/indications on the other. I wish it had common dosing instructions, but otherwise its a nice concise, brief review for on the go. The price of the full program is 34.99 (called an expansion pack). The initial download will only give you one drug per class as a teaser to purchase the whole deck. Just a heads up. :)
good content, bad UI
It has everything you can ask for from an information standpoint, but the user interface just seems old fashioned, outdated, boring, and doesnt have very many options to customize to your liking. Hopefully the developers can update the app a bit so that its a bit more appealing, easier to use, and includes a few more study options. It would be a 5 star app without a doubt if and when that update happens.
Pretty good
Using them for med school / board prep. My roommate has the paper version of these. I thought the app would be a little more convenient. I agree the user interface could be updated- especially if you want quiz mode. Otherwise its straight forward/ easy to use and covers most of the drugs. My only complaint is the screen is very sensitive- often when Im scrolling to see the rest of the question the card flips. Whoops- now I know the answer before I even read the question. Should be an easy fix IMO
Good material, poor execution
Im a 2nd year medical student. I thought this would come in handy. It has almost all of the drugs Ive needed. It has a few good study features like the multi-sided flash card feature. However, there are enough negatives that I almost never use this app. You cant organize your own decks, the app does not keep track of your study progress from one session to the next. I have to start from scratch every time I open this app to find the cards I want. I have to scroll through the cards one at a time to find ones I want. The scrolling is kind of choppy/tedious which leads to more time wasted. If this app was like some of the other flashcard apps I might actually use it, the restriction to personalizing the cards you want has resulted in me never using this app. All of this being said, this app should be priced at 99cents. I still wouldnt use it even if it were. It was hard for me to get an accurate picture of the real app when I used the free version. Like I said though, it does have a good number of drugs, the case presentations are good and the info is pretty thorough. This is all moot though, due to the lack of customization and memory.
