Excellent

Excellent magazine because it covers all the topics of interest to pianists.

Awesome Magazine

I used to pick up a copy of Pianist at the book store. Now I get it on my iPad Pro. It is an awesome mag/app. Love the links and I watch a lot of their lessons on you tube. Im a beginner-intermediate senior player. There is just enough levels spread for everyone.

Very good, Thanks !

I use this app for years it is perfect ! Magazine and music in hand ! Thanks to the editor ! Didier

Excelente!

Ótimas partituras comentadas e dicas para melhorar a técnica. Recomendo.

Content is tops, but electronic delivery is lacking

As a professional piano teacher, I love the magazine and have read it both in print and with the app. It is interesting and informative for pianists who are playing at an intermediate or advanced level and includes plenty of scores to play and advice on how to learn them. The magazine itself gets five stars. There are are a few things lacking in the app version that keep it from earning full stars in my opinion. First is that the print edition includes a CD with recordings for each of the scores plus a few extra tracks. The app only includes recordings for the scores included with a play button on the top of the first page of the score and - very frustratingly - stops playing when you turn the page, making it impossible to follow the score while listening. The scores are all lumped in the middle, which works well for removing that centre section in the print version, but for the digital edition it would make more sense to put the article on how to learn to play the piece right with the score so that flipping back and forth between the two isnt such a chore. Id also like to be able to use my Airturn for turning pages. There is a lot more that could be done with dynamic content and links within the digital version as well. Still torn about whether I would rather get the less expensive digital edition (its a UK based magazine, so getting it across the ocean apparently isnt cheap) or the more expensive but easier to use print version.

Great magazine but playback needs work.

Both the print and digital editions of this magazine are fabulous. However, playback of the sheet music in the iPad version needs work. Currently, the play button for each score only appears on the first page of each piece. Changing pages stops playback, and so it is impossible to follow along to the playback with the sheet music. If the playback simply did not stop when the page is turned is a sufficient fix. Giving transport style control would be the next level. Thanks.

Nice but needs better download speed

I like it once it is in my iPad, but the download speed per issue is dreadful. If I want to open an issue over the weekend, I better make sure to start downloading by Tuesday to make sure I have it by Saturday. And while the issue is being downloaded, forget using the iPad for anything else. I do not know if it is an Apple issue or a Pianist issue, but none of the other apps take this long to download, even when they are twice or thrice the size.
