Useless for tech savvy international travellers

We are visiting from Canada and thought this app was a great forward thinking idea - whats not to like a phone based ticket ....... BUT although it all looks great, it stumbles when you are forced to put in a 5 digit numbered zip code when inputting the credit card details - even though the box is actually identified as "zip/post code". It really is a shame as it has a lot of potential. I see that the app is really for locals and US visitors; but if you are going to design a system, look forward and think about international visitors. We do love visiting (and spending our money) in your great city. Im pretty sure the costs to include the ability to allow postcodes wouldnt have been any different to the current development costs.

Password requirement too strict

Tried to sign up for an account but it would not accept several variations of a password, deeming each too weak. When I got to ELEVEN characters and was still unable to use my password, I gave up. You guys arent guarding the nuclear codes. Too much of a hassle.

One thing ruins it all.

It’s a nice app, and should have been made far sooner, but one thing ruins all that beautiful hard work - idiotic password requirements. There’s two things working here - 1) if a user wants to use an easily cracked password, you can’t save them from their own stupidity and 2) requiring an uppercase letter, two numbers, a punctuation mark, the blood of my first born, six donkeys, a shekel, and a round of hokey pokey is just too much. Deleting and will not be using until this issue is resolved. Good try, but you borked it.

No more "exact change!"

I downloaded the RTA Go Mobile app and it is great! I can get an integrated ticket for streetcar, bus, and ferry with a simple tap of the screen! And no more "exact change only" for ferries or stacking up useless paper RTA streetcar tickets with $.25 left on each. It finally feels like my progressive city is making baby steps towards embracing technology- and I love it!!

Terrible just like the website

They embedded the terrible website in an app. You cant look up PM times, it will only show you AM times.

Almost worthless

If the buses and streetcars ran according to the schedule, this might be useful. If the buses and streetcars had GPS on them, it would be even better. The RTA has decided to let almost all the GPS devices go offline, and the buses run as erratically and unpredictably as ever, leaving for a typically dysfunctional New Orleans experience. Since there is a chance you might be able to get a bus, I am giving it 2 stars, but chances are you will be left standing in the rain for hours.
