Spice - A collection of South Asian American short stories

Spice comprises of three short stories that focus on the experiences of second generation South Asians. Born in the 70s and 80s this generation come from a community that is more firmly entrenched in North American culture and as a result has moved past the usual identity issues.
In this collection the authors slice of life approach provides the reader with a glimpse of how the Americaness of the characters shines through despite their cultural roots. In these stories we find a woman preparing for a house guest, another visiting an ethnic salon and a third (a college coed) that has become infatuated with a mysterious stranger.
