The application provides the current value of the Kp-index derived at the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center using data from ground-based magnetometers.
What is Kp-index - The K-index quantifies disturbances in the horizontal component of earths magnetic field with an integer in the range 0-9 with 1 being calm and 5 or more indicating a geomagnetic storm. It is derived from the maximum fluctuations of horizontal components observed on a magnetometer during a three-hour interval.
The official planetary Kp index is derived by calculating a weighted average of K-indices from a network of geomagnetic observatories.
Kp of 0 to 4 is below storm, which is G0.

The App cant/wont connect to the server to get the required information. Just tells me to try again later, and later, and later . . . .
Save your money
I agree with Cheez37. It does not connect. I am attempting to get a refund at this time. How can it have a rating of 4+ when the only two reviews including this one have rated it a 1?
Vile pop-up malware!
This app shows NOTHING in regard to info you might want about solar flares, the Kp-Index or anything. Upon opening it, youll be tricked into downloading Candy Crush (do a Google search for "Candy Crush malware"... This app is nothing more than a gimmick to send ad tracking on your iPhone. Avoid at all cost.
