Symantec™ Mobile Encryption for iOS allows you to send and receive encrypted email from devices running Apple® iOS software. You can create new encrypted messages, reply/reply all/forward encrypted messages received, or forward encrypted messages with or without attachments.
Symantec Mobile Encryption requires a managed account on a Symantec Encryption Management Server with the LDAP Directory Synchronization feature enabled. If you do not have an account on the server, an account is created for you when you enroll.

kein selbständiges PGP Programm
Ohne den kommerziellen Universal Server kann man damit nix anfangen. Ich kann also meine eigenen Schlüssel nicht verwenden, die ich schon seit 15 Jahren benutze.

Finger weg von dieser Abzock-App! Was sich Symantec hier erlaubt, spottet jeder Beschreibung. Zum Einen, gibt es keine Internetsecurity ( die App ortet Dein iPhone/iPad und bietet eine Backup- Funktion). Zum Anderen lies sie sich bei mir nur auf einem mobile device installieren. Was für eine Kundenverarschung!!! Resume: Dank dieser Kundentäuschung kommt Software von Symantec ( Norton) für uns nach vielen Jahren der Nutzung zukünftig nicht mehr in Frage.
Funktioniert!
Nicht jeder scheint den Sinn der App zu verstehen oder die Beschreibung gelesen zu haben. Vielleicht war die vorher aber auch mal weniger eindeutig, kann ja sein. Dies ist in der Tat KEINE "Mobile Security App", wie ein Vorschreiber enttäuscht feststellt, es heißt "Mobile Encryption"! Und sie funktioniert auch nur mit einem eigenen Keyserver mit LDAP-Anbindung, steht als erstes in der Beschreibung. Unter den Voraussetzungen bin ich zufrieden mit der App, bin ich damit nun doch in der Lage, PGP-verschlüsselte Emails auf unserem Exchange-Server auf dem iPhone zu lesen und dort eigene Mails zu erstellen... :-)
