A lovely little app that brings the joy of film to the iPhone.

Unlike most digital cameras, Thirty Six doesn’t allow you to peek at the photos you just snapped until you are ready to develop the 36-exposure roll (or if you want to shoot square, a 12-exposure roll).

Why would we do such a thing?

Well, we think slowing down the process and having you think about what you want to shoot will make you a better photographer.

Once you’ve finished your roll, the selection process begins.

Traditionally with film this would be done with a contact sheet. With a simple double touch, you select a photo you like, and triple touch for a photo you love.

Who knew that a few taps on the screen could be so much fun?

Once youre done selecting, you can then share it with friends via email, Facebook and Twitter, of course. And now you can even back it all up to Dropbox and sync it with Adobe Lightroom via Adobe Creative Cloud.

A clever concept!

If you miss the days of black-and-white film cartridges, and that rush of running into the darkroom to see how your shots came out, then this is the app for you. Rather than shoot-and-review, with Thirty Six you shoot and shoot … and shoot, until youve finished a virtual roll of 36 exposures. Then you sit back and watch what develops. The coolest part? You even get an old-school contact sheet of your shots, from which you can choose your favorite frames.

Really Neat Little App

The functional simplicity, intuitive design and nostalgic feel of this camera app are spot on.

Why only squares???

Its a nice app thats for sure. I dont like the fact that it takes only squares. The images are really good but please change it. I would also prefer a green color for accepted images instead of orange. And way more options in camera mode. The autofocus is really slow. Im on a 6+

Does as described

Pictures look great, when finally developed. It does make you think about your composition. Like film cameras, there are some pictures you forgot you took. Ive only done one roll so far and it took FOREVER to develop

Its upside down!

The App is upside down. The Volume buttons are supposed to be on the top so that they can be used as a shutter like any other picture taking app on iPhones. I like the concept of taking pictures like in old times when film photography was more prominent. I started doing photography with film so i can appreciate this app very much and I recall looking at the contacts and selecting only the bests, then going to the darkroom and making copies of them. Good times!

Andava cosi bene.

Avete fatto due aggiornamenti e continua a chiudersi, ogni volta che deve sviluppare il rullino, mettetela a posto è ritorna una 5 stelle.
