Türk Yurdu, Türk Yurdu Cemiyetinin fikirlerini yaymak üzere 30 Kasım 1911de İstanbulda yayım hayatına başlamıştır. Türk Yurdu Cemiyetinin kapanması üzerine Türk Ocaklarının yayın organına dönüşen ve yayımını günümüze kadar kesintilerle sürdüren Türk Yurdu, yerel süreli yayındır. Şubat 1987 - Mart 1989 arasında Türk Ocakları İstanbul Şubesi tarafından İstanbulda çıkarılmış, Kasım 1989’dan itibaren Ankarada çıkarılmaya başlanmıştır. Mayıs 1996-Ekim 2013 yıllarında Prof. Dr. M. Çağatay Özdemir’in yürüttüğü Türk Yurdu Genel Yayın Müdürlüğünü, Kasım 2013’ten sonra Dr. Fahri Atasoy devralmıştır. Temmuz 1997de yayımlanan 480. sayısından itibaren de hakemli dergidir. Türk Yurdu, yayım hayatına hâlen kuruluş ilkeleriyle devam etmektedir.
