Description
2017 Teaching Institutions Symposium
A culture of excellence: embracing challenges and change
On 8 March we will open with a plenary address by a University of London academic (to be announced). This will be followed by a session on the planned re-branding of UoLIP. After lunch we will hear about plans for new programmes, after which there will be parallel sessions on EMFSS, LLM, Computing, Business Administration, the Student Advice Centre and a ‘walk-in surgery’ on admissions, student experience, marketing and the like. These sessions will be in two blocks, so that attendees can each attend two. In the evening we look forward to welcoming you all to a reception.
The second day opens with a plenary on alumni and employability. This will be followed by a session on developments around the Teaching Institutions Recognition Framework. Before lunch we plan some parallel sessions on topics to be chosen by you, the teaching institutions. In the afternoon there will be a session on new programmes already launched, including the Global MBA. Parallel sessions will follow on the LLB, MScPAcc, the International Foundation Programme and a look at parallel degree arrangements. The symposium will close with a plenary on the latest student experience initiatives, followed by closing remarks and a group photo.
We look forward to seeing you in London soon!
