Finally a Voice (Talking) compass for the iPhone. With this application you will be able to hear your iPhone guiding you.

Everytime you change heading, the iPhone will notify you via "voice".

This application will tell you by means of voice the heading using the native compass of the iPhone 3GS (only).

You can either select from the True North Compass or the Magnetic North Compass features.

Application will let you pinpoint the exact heading in degrees and also will let you determine your heading in the actual diagram where you have 8 different orientations:

- North, East, West, South, Southwest, Northwest, Southeast and northeast.

We use 2 conventions to help you locate:

- An Arrow will indicate the "heading" and a red dot will indicate the orientation in degrees.

Every time you change from heading the application will notify you using our state of the art Voice Compass. You do not need to be looking at the compass during your journey, just turn it on and let it guide you.

Let us know if you have any suggestion. We are working on a better version with many more features, upgrade will be free.

déception

je viens dacheter une appli non compatible sous lOS 3.0 ! Cest ce que vient de me répondre mon iphone à linstallation! Jattends le correctif. Merci

Useless - will not even open

These people just got my money for putting a useless icon on my phone that does nothing.

An essential app for the blind and visually impaired.

This aplication was extremely helpful for navigating around Disneyland as a visually impaired park guest. I used it to learn the layout of the two California parks. It is extremely accurate and provides very clear voice samples. In the future I would like to see a sonar like sound added and voice panning along with that sound so I could determine how "north" I really am facing. Idealy each of the eight directions would then pan left to right in stereo headphones to allow me to know where Im at in that directional wedge. The sonar like sound could optionally run continuously so you can keep on perfect track with the desired heading. Either way, I see so much potential for this app, and can only hope more people buy it. Hardware talking compasses cost a lot of money, this app should be part of any visually impaired individuals app collection.

Toy compass

I see no value for this thing. The novelty wore off in 2minutes. As far as blind useage. How would a blind person find the app on the phone. How many blind people have an iPhone. Save the 99 cents.

Would be useful if it told the bearing!

..but it doesnt! It only tells N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW and no numbers. This is utterly useless and that is such a shame because with a tiny change, the author couldve made this a truly useful utility. I am mostly blind and I need to hear the actual compass bearing. (0 - 359 degrees). This doesnt do that. :(

abcdef blind user friendly.

rather nice 4 apple users who are blind, and blind users get around on ios devices by useing the "voiceover" function.

One dollar less

It would be nice for the truck but it closes as soon as I open it. It cost me a dollar to find this out.
