Nice and clear app but...

Hello John, I really enjoy your voice rss app as it actually seems to be the only one that can cover such an amount of voices. Its just a shame the rss feeds cant be personalized so even if theres tons of voiced, the text thats read is english... I actually have some feats wishes : 1 : the app to be able to read all feeds categories when the app is launched 2 : the app to be able to get sync with sources on a defined time basis so it can automatically read news as soon as theyre published so voice rss could turn into a nice business/market watch tool instead of a "simple" rss reader. Anyway, your app interface simplicity makes it a real nice app. Cheers, SL

Interesting app, but could be improved..

It works very well, but using the read aloud option, while you are driving a car you can’t automacally switch from the FULL CONTENT of an article to another one (it is possible only for the article previews list) Please add this killer feature (and the local caching) and I will give you five stars!

Best in class!!!

Apple makes tts easy, but it looks like this app is the only app out there that isnt trying to reinvent the wheel. As far as i can tell, it is using high quality iOS 7 voices and the way it reads through articles is just a notch down from the safari reader mode ( it still reads some of the indented comments, photo comments, etc.) also, I had problems with some of my full text RSS feeds. But for all that, this app skips through all of the nonsense and gives you simple rss to Text to speech. I cant wait to see the next version!!!

Awesome

Works great!

Long way to go

If youre going to be a one-trick pony, you should do that one trick really really well. While this app performs as advertised, it is just not yet feature-rich enough to be useful. On the main article list for a feed there is no way to indicate which articles have already been read, and no way to skip them. When you start reading it always starts at the top. Theres no way to advance to the next article in the list, without opening an article. When you return to the list its hard to see where you were, and if you again click on the icon to start reading it just goes back to the start of the list. Very annoying! No integration with aggregation services like Feedly means I cant use this in conjunction with my existing collections of feeds. No background support. If you turn off the device or leave the app, the reading stops. And if course when you return, it doesnt remember where you left off. I wont be able to use this to read me articles when driving in my car while also using my GPS. Theres a feature where you can flag an article to be read later, but in order to use this you have to sign in via Facebook or Twitter. What? No reason is given, but for many this is likely an overstep of privacy concerns. Standard Siri voice, no options for purchasing higher quality voices. A good start, but the lack of the most basic features or usability means this wont make it into my regular routine. While it doesnt have direct RSS support, Voice Dream is a much better TTS app.

Doesnt work

It wont even load articles. I get to the point where it tries and then the app just freezes up each time. Save your dollar.

Screen Lock Stops Reading

Turn your screen off, and the app stops reading out loud.
