Après contacte avec le programmeur de cette application qui ma expliqué toutes les subtilités et la philosophie de cette application je suis ravis. Cette application est fluide, rapide et les animations sont clairs et superbes! Le tout en 4D! Le + que japprécie vraiment cest la rapidité pour récupérer les fichiers grib même sur de grandes zones. De plus Il y a possibilité dimporter des fichiers de route type KML pour visualiser vos déplacements du navire durant la période des prévisions météo Bref il y a tellement de fonctions quen faire le détails serait trop long, je vous conseil lexcellent site dOlivier Bouyssou. Weather
GFS model is provided by default. In addition, over 35 weather and oceanographic models are available with a yearly subscription (in-app purchase). Queries and downloads are fully customizable.
The application makes it possible to create your own geographical zones and to select the characteristics of the GRIB files to download: choice of data, resolution, periodicity, file size, etc. GRIB files can be downloaded wherever you are from our servers through a regular or satellite internet connection.
Weather4D Routing displays the combined data as layered layers. All the data of a selected model is displayed by an animation in continuous time scrolling or in manual scrolling on the map.
The weather forecast is displayed in one or two windows (iPad only), offering several display combinations of the same area: navigation and weather, weather and waves or currents, comparison of different models. The two windows can be disassociated for displaying the same area at different scales.
Routing
Weather4D Routing makes it possible to optimize sailing or engine, or mixed sail-engine routes. From a theoretical route, a routing algorithm will take into account wind force and wave height constraints. When sailing, the boat polar combined with wind and current forecasts will be used to optimize performance, comfort and safety.
Several routes can be displayed to compare the outcome of different options: different forecast patterns, departure dates and times, selected constraint values. The routing can be restarted at any moment during navigation from the actual position of the boat.

extraordinaire application pour nous les marins (skipper convoyeur pro), qui sommes dhabitude plutôt mal lotis de ce côté lá!… je laie adoptée dès la mise en service de la version gratuite, de suite conquis comme beaucoup! Trés complète en version PRO. elle á finalement le défaut de ses qualités sur Iphone 3S… ultra détaillée!.. Weather 4D pro trouve lécran de liphone un peu juste aux entournures, lunettes obligatoires pour moi!.. sûrement plus lisible sur Ipad mais je nai pas (encore) essayé!.. une fonction excellente parmi dautres, léchange des fichiers Grib entre lIphone et lordinateur (Mac OsX10.7.2) bref, un grand merçi á son papa Olivier Bouyssou…sil a dautres idées du même tonneau, surtout quil nhésite pas! je suis sûr quil trouveras des souscripteurs parmi nous pour le sponsoriser!.. :) bravo! application á avoir absolument….
Époustouflant
Avec plus de 400 000 milles au compteur perso dont 25 transat j aurais jamais imaginé voir la météo de cette façon, simplement magique, utile bien sur mais surtout éducatif au quotidien. Je continue à me "faire mettre", mais au moins maintenant je sais comment et pourquoi ! ! ! Merci
