2012 年3 月16 日下午,第三届中国当代艺术“金棕榈+ 金酸莓”评奖活动在北京大学视觉与图像研究中心举办。参加本次活动的评委群体与之前两届相比并无太大区别,以“青年批评家”的群体身份作为界定的权威化表态,在官方发布的新闻稿中体现为:“旨在对过去一年中国当代艺术界所出现的艺术作品进行全面的观察和系统的梳理,以尽可能客观的视角和专业的学术水准对中国当代艺术的最新创作做出价值判断。”—尽管参与者可能并不愿意将自己的身份划入到略显老态的“权威”一词之中,但要在众目睽睽之下做出孰是孰非的最终决断,却又一定离不开带有“权威”含义的头衔支撑—不管是“权威的青年”还是“青年的权威”,我相信至少在评奖现场这些“批评家”的态度是真诚的,从之前将“金酸梅”颁发给中央美术学院和四川美术学院院长的举动中,也可看出他们期望改变现状的态度和野心。但对他人的劳动成果进行排位辨别的行为本身,却并不是一件讨好的事情。在评奖结束后并不算热闹的争论中,除了垫底“金酸梅”的《通告》展的策展人之一梁克刚在微博上的强烈反应之外,对于奖项本身的怀疑与批评之声也并不鲜见。
