A SHOWCASE OF AFRICAN FILM & CULTURE
Mission
The "África Mostra-se" ("Africa Shows Itself") Film & Culture Festival is intended to inform the Portuguese public of the best movies and culture made in Africa, positively and with eyes fixed on the future.
We want to refresh the image that has been created on the African continent, giving the Portuguese public and the African diaspora the opportunity to know and experience the new identity of the countries of this continent and that they have to offer.
We intend to engage actively in different areas and cultural events in celebration of film and culture promoting values such as education for multiculturalism, diversity, solidarity and participation.
We want to create a meeting point where it is possible to present a positive facet of culture, addressing issues of African identity, history and the future through artistic manifestations that bloom throughout the continent.
We aim to show the power of African culture, promoting a trip where we travel across every corner of the continent without being bound to the Portuguese-speaking countries.
