虎頭山環境教育園區以虎頭山公園及孔廟、忠烈祠為範圍，位於桃園市桃園區東北側，園區南邊臨南崁溪，東北邊銜接虎頭山山系，西邊臨接成功路及桃園都會區，交通便利並保有豐富自然資源。隨著資訊科技日新月異，智慧型手機、平板電腦等智慧型行動載具也越來越普及，本服務將透過民眾個人的智慧型載具，經由網際網路連結到雲端後台資料庫下載並安裝本處的導覽App到手機、平板電腦，並以iBeacon感應方式，辨識佈建之iBeacon感知器，進而獲取本處解說資源的導覽解說內容及取得最新相關訊息，以期讓民眾的智慧型行動載具成為即時又便利的行動環境教育導覽解說機，便於民眾認識虎頭山環境教育園區的自然與人文資源，推廣環境教育。
