《守望联萌》是一款横版Q萌ACT类的RPG，主要针对用户群为18-35岁的青少年。角色采用2.5头身Q版模型，分为战士、法师、弓手三个职业，相关第二专职共计6人。玩家可通过摇杆、跳跃等一系类的技能搭配，获得特殊且巨大的连技效果，也可使用自动战斗系统，彻底解放您的双手。利用强化与洗炼功能，从而提升装备属性，也是游戏中重要的养成玩法之一。玩家也可通过竞技场来挑战其他玩家，收集不同的怪物卡不但能提升人物的战斗力，也能在竞技场中被攻击时，被召唤协助玩家共同作战。
“徽章系统”是主要的核心玩法之一，也是提升玩家战斗力的重要系统。分别由“强化”、“升星”、“怪物卡镶嵌”三个子系统所组成，对应的消耗物品与金币可通过做任务、打副本、运营活动、商城购买等一系列行为操作获得。
