旅客於行前準備時，登入APP Store下載「日月潭個人化行動導覽」，即可透過簡易直覺的操作介面，在手機上賞玩旅遊目的地的導覽內容。對應不同需求情境，可選擇列表模式、地圖模式、AR模式、轉盤模式... ...等瀏覽形式。
旅客於旅途中，透過行動定位與高速3G網路，「日月潭個人化行動導覽」更是一項適地性服務（LBS）。此APP可持續將位置資訊回傳至系統處理中心，再依旅客所在位置篩選出鄰近導覽內容，並能即時更新。旅客帶著iPhone出遊，就像擁有自己專屬導遊一樣。
