With 7 to 8 from Mauritius Telecom, we will be bringing to you a number of services which will be helping you in your day to day activities. The first service that we will be starting would be the 7 to 8-Digit mobile number converter.
On 1st of September 2013 at 00:00, Mauritius will be shifting its mobile phone numbers from 7 to 8-Digits. Users will need to add 5 as the leading number before the existing mobile number. For example, if your mobile number is 765 XXXX, your new number will be 5 765 XXXX.
Features of the 7 to 8 application:
- Will convert only mobile numbers from any Mauritian mobile network operator without affecting any fixed and international telephone numbers
- Allows full flexibility by allowing users to select which number they want to convert or simply select all numbers
- Easily restores your contacts back to 7 digits.
- Requires confirmation before converting the numbers
*Before using 7 to 8, kindly take the necessary precautions by backing up your phone contacts.
