Without the dice sitting on the table, everyone can just roll, and lie about the dice they had. Also, youre rules are a little weird. The challenger to the liar would lose a die if he was wrong, and the liar would lose the die if he was proved a liar. The idea is to make everyone lose dice, and the one who has dice at the end of the game is the winner. (Generally the winner of a pot of money, but thats illegal unless youre a casino.)
