RGD, available in May, 2014, this app is the only English-language news-app in Guangdong province. The daily updates offer users relevant and interested news in both the written and spoken form. Users can choose to listen to one of the six major available programs, ranging from hard-hitting news stories, Guangdong music, to, captivating talk shows with expats across the province. All programs are available with a read or listen option!
Radio Guangdong English-service already operate on a website, http://e.rgd.com.cn, however the new app will allow users to access up-to-date news on the go and is more accessible. The easy to use interface is bright and dynamic allowing freedom for users to choose what part of each show they want to listen to and when.
The mobile friendly app is the first of its kind in Guangdong in South China, and will also allow for a platform between ‘RGD’ listeners and RGD journalists. Users can ‘like’ stories they find appealing and also get in touch more easily by selecting ‘feedback’ from the ‘program’ schedule and sending an email via the app platform.
