Bereg Chess is an advanced chess game implementation for iPhone. It allows you to play online with other people from across the globe. You can start playing online immideately, even without registration. It is also possible to play with computer opponent for training purporses for instance.
You will be able to play on a chess server with about 350.000 registered users. Thus you will always be able to find a worthy opponent for yourself. If you are a professional chess player you can even try to play with FIDE and Grand Masters, we have about 200 of them registered on our club server.
So no matter what chess skills youve got, you can always have a good company and good play in our chess club. We always welcome new players.

Not ipod touch compatible
I dont see a reason why it shouldnt bee ipid touch compatible, Make an update. :)
Worked fine for a week
The best online chess app in the app store period! Updating my review, there are some major glitches with this app now I dont know what happend it work for about a week. WOW where do I start, now when I try to promote a pawn to a queen the app just shuts down sometimes when you are playing a game it boots you out of the game back to the players online list when you find your name it shows that your still playing the game and of wont let you back into the game and then when you log out of the program and then log back in your rateing has drop. And last but not least if you are going to market this game to Americans you should have and English verson of your web page, to explain when you set up an account whitch consist of your user name and your pass word they email you conformation you hit the link to there web page to confirm when the web page opens you cant read it, its in another language. Once you hit the link it automatically signs you up. Fix these isuues and the game would be fine.
Good but can be much better
I have most chess games out there, and this one is the second-best, in my opinion, just below Versus Chess. However, the potential exists fir this to easily be the best, if they just fix the bugs and more clearly display your and your opponents rating, and how your rating changed after each game. You can always find players with Bereg because youre playing people who are on the Bereg server on their computer. You can also modify game length, something you cant do with Versus Chess.
Nice game
Please fix time issue! Still same thing after upgrade. July 4-th 2009. Doesnt show your correct time... Was playing, and at the end of the game I still had like 35 sec left, and my opponent none, but somehow I lost by time... Please fix it. You can watch other players game (online), chat, you have your own rating, server is fast, I have an iPhone edge, no problem with the connection at all. Highly recomend.

I wasnt expecting much but this is a nice surprise. Lots of players online, unlike versus chess. But I got drop connection several times and when that happen I seem to reconnect immediately but cannot get back to my previous game. Hope they can fix this. Versus chess on the other hand never have connection problem.. but noone there..
slow to start games
When Im ready to play a game, I want to start NOW. Bereg Chess makes it difficult to start a game, probably because the other players are mostly playing from PCs and not really paying attention to the game. When I select a player to challenge, the name sits in my queue for a long time before starting (and sometimes, the player quits before the game starts). In one attempt, I waiting ten minutes with 20 challenges waiting to be accepted; none were.
