We are using a Explorer700 of BGAN series, but has helped so when the positioning of the unit. It is possible to adjust the exact direction and angle it is possible to check the nearest satellite visually we are able to get the best performance.

I use it to rough point the antenna on my isatphonepro hand held sat phone.
