The Big Picture Book is primarily designed to educate and entertain our youngest fellows. With 83 beautiful, sharp and high-resolution images our little ones are allowed to learn their native language in a fun and interactive way! For easy learning, the pictures are divided into six categories. The app comes with the ability to switch language with six languages covered! So why not pick up some words in a foreign language when they become too easy in the native language? This way, both young and old will have great fun with The Big Picture Book - knowledge has no age limit!

Choose a category. Tap the picture and text and voice will reveal what the image represents. Select the next image with a swiping motion or go back to the main menu and select a new category (or a new language).

To educate and entertain even further there is now, from version 1.1 , a memory game with images taken from the different categories. There is also a quiz game where the purpose is to find the picture representing the spoken word (which is also printed on the screen).

The six categories are: Animals, Baby Animals, At the Zoo, Vehicles, Colors and Fruits & Vegetables.

The six languages are: English, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, French and Polish.

Naja...

Cant open it

I used to like this app for children on early intervention, but now it opens and then immediately closes.

Well done!

I am not generally a fan of flash card style apps but this goes much further- not only is content available in 8 languages, there are games to reinforce learning- a memory game and a quiz style "find the ___" game. The interface is simple but has engaging, bright photos and I really like how there is no negative reinforcement- if an answer is wrong no sound is made- the child simply tries again until the correct answer is chosen- then there is a pleasant "ping" sound, along with the vocabulary word spoken again. - this reinforcement style is a good fit for children with special needs too. I also like how in the memory game the cards that have been matched stay up so the child can view them.

Beautiful pictures

Wonderful pictures and nice simple games. Great for little ones or kids with language delays.
