"Rakshak (Life Saver) is a SOS App for users who are operating in remote and isolated locations and need immediate help due to health or security emergencies. Rakshak application enables the panic button for emergency situations. On activation of panic button, alert triggers to (24x7x365 working) nearest control room for remedial action. App also enables to submit the photograph or video of emergency or hazardous situation seen on site as a proof.
App also serves as a guide to on Dos and Donts, Safety tips. The application will dynamically pick up location using GPS and in the absence of which, approximate network location is used. The application will then use this information to dynamically provide information relevant to that location for e.g., Emergency evacuation plans, region specific safety tips, etc.”
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
