Caustic 3 is a music creation tool inspired by rack-mount synthesizer/sampler rigs.
Everything is real-time and optimized for mobile devices.
Create your rack by adding up to 14 machines from a choice of:
* Subsynth - Virtual analog subtractive synthesizer
* PCMSynth - Multi-sample wave synthesizer
* BassLine - 303-like monosynth
* BeatBox - 8-channel sampling drum machine
* PadSynth - Harmonic table pad synthesizer
* 8BitSynth - 8bit equation solver synthesizer
* Modular - Fully configurable and routable synthesizer
* Organ - Tonewheel organ with rotary speaker
* Vocoder - 8-band harmonic vocoder
* FMSynth - DX-style 3-operator fm synthesizer
* KSSynth - Karplus-Strong string modeling synthesizer
* SawSynth - Supersaw-type synthesizer
The app also includes:
* Effects rack supporting 2 effects per machine (20 effect types).
* Mixer desk with EQ, panning and global Delay/Reverb effects.
* Master section with effect slots, parametric EQ and limiter.
* Song sequencer
AudioBus support for Input and Output slots.
AudioCopy Paste + AudioShare support for import and export.
Supports automation recording on most controls and includes powerful editors for modifying automation curves.
Users can record their own WAV files for use in the PCMSynth, BeatBox, and Vocoder or import files through iTunes file sharing, ACP, AudioShare, or the built-in FTP server.
Supports all uncompressed WAV files (8-16-24-32bit, any sampling rate).
The PCMSynth can also load SoundFont files (.sf2), SFZ and FL/Xewton instruments (.instr, .ZIP)
"Open In.." import support for all preset types, .WAV, .SF2 and .MID.
(MIDI (.mid) files can be imported as raw sequencer note data.)
Supports CoreMIDI and virtual MIDI for note, velocity and CC data. (be sure to set "Enable background audio" in advanced options to use virtual MIDI)

Best music creation app
No app--not figure, beatbox 2, garageband, rebirth,fl mobile, music studio, tabletop,I mpc,nano studio, gadget, cubasis, not all the loopers, not funkbox--no app inspires me to create sonically valid beats and grooves faster than this app. Ease of use, simplicity and plenty of user control make this app irresistible. With this update we now have a program with all the fun, yet actually more intuitive than the early years of FL Studio, Reason, Arturia Storm. No gimmicky visual distractions or sonic show off soundscapes. Unspoiled workflow with no cluttery bells and whistles. .The most transparent introduction to synthesis and to sequencing I have ever encountered. With audiobus and midi Caustic is the gold standard for user friendly no b.s. music creation. Every time I open this app I come up with a groove pattern or a song. Provides the workspace and workflow for the composer arranger musician-us-to do the razzle dazzle.3.2 for ios please!

Cest ce qui se fait de mieux, vraiment incroyable.
Complet, rapide et sympa
Lapp vaut aisément son prix. Elle permet de construire un morceau complet, c.a.d. avec synthes, bassline, drums et même un vocodeur. Cest toujours plus pratique de tout avoir sous la main quand on veut travailler un morceau sur liPhone (ou même liPad). Le son des différents modules (synthes au sens large) est très bon, la bassline se programme par un step sequencer (cest plus simple), il y a une multitude deffets, on peut avoir un paquet de pistes, et lapp est hyper rapide. Linterface est un peu chargée mais elle est utilisable (contrairement a Rebirth). Il y a juste le volume général que je trouve faible.

Un "must have" pour les musiciens confirmés ou débutants. Pas de latence, ergonomie intuitive, des machines introuvables dans dautres apps (modular synth, vocodeur, 8bit synth), un forum sympa et réactif et un dev toujours à lécoute.
Studio
Armé de tous les outils nécessaires pour produire. Son excellent, ergonomie, très bonne alternative aux studios existants.
