Description
ePub is widely adopted file format for ebooks. This file format is based on popular Web standards, such as HTML and CSS. It takes text, images, media, metadata (title, author, date) and Table of Contents and zips them all together into a single file for maximum portability. ePub is designed to reflow content for comfortable reading on screen of any size from mobile phones to desktops.
With Chapters, you can open ePub files or create new ePub documents, then edit text, add cover image, print or export to PDF.
Chapters also supports these great features on the Mac:
• iCloud Drive for keeping files in sync between all your devices
• Autosaving and Versions for browsing file changes and restoring them
• Resume for relaunching app as it was running last time
• SplitView for side by side multitasking with another app in full screen
• Share menu for easy way to share files with others via Messages, Mail and AirDrop • Multi-tab windows
and Touchbar support.

Latest version Chapters: 3.0
Chapters has been reworked to take advantage of the latest WebKit framework, which is a rendering engine of Safari browser. It runs now natively on Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs.
Adding images and media files is not available at the moment and will be restored in the coming updates.
This update removes the ability to import WebArchive and MHT (MHTML) files or export ePub documents to MHT. In case you want to continue using those features, you can keep two copies of the app: keep one copy of Chapters updated from the App Store and another copy of Chapters not updated and stored in a zip-archive or on removable USB drive as described below.
• For storing in zip-archive: In Finder, go to Applications folder and select Chapters. Then in the menubar choose File > Duplicate, then File > Compress. Keep compressed copy of the app anywhere on your Mac. You can then update app from the App Store.
• For storing on removable USB drive: In Finder select Chapters in Applications folder. Then in menubar choose File > Duplicate. After that move apps copy to USB drive. Eject USB drive in Finder. Then run an update from the App Store.
Remember that App Store will update only one copy of the app on your Mac. Therefore make sure there is only one copy of the app located in Applications folder. If there is a copy left hanging in the Trash, empty Trash before starting this update.
