Good app
Please fix the search function. Typing in the search bar is very slow. This ruins the app for me. Ill change to 5 stars otherwise.
Great app BUT GET RID OF YOUR STUPID BANNER!
I bought this as it is a very good reference however I am soooooo disappointed by the constant self advertising banner at the bottoms of each definition I look up. Without the banner Id give you 4 or 5 stars! Put it in the help menu or about menu WHERE IT BELONGS!! Or make the app free! Sheesh!

CDE has always been the best computer reference, and the iPhone version is super slick.
Really helps you learn
This reference gets to the important points quickly without a lot of techno-babble but the technical terms are also explained well and easy to understand. I love the illustrations.
Long time user
Ive been an avid fan of the Computer Desktop Encyclopedia since day one (back when it was The Computer Glossary). Ive gone from the print version to the PC version (and the Mac version on HyperCard) and now to the iPhone version. Im not disappointed at all. This version is clear, concise and fast. A previous version was self contained, including all the graphics and illustrations This version is much more compact and loads graphics on the fly, so it takes up less space on your iDevice. As has been the case since the beginning, Mr. Freedmans explanations and definitions are clear, concise and understandable. He has a talent for distilling abstract terms into laymans terms. This is a reference that nobody who has an interest in technology should be without. Keep up the good work! Two thumbs way up!
