Description
Taylor App is an audio amplifier configuration tool for use with Beale Xpress and Beale Street Audio amplifiers that feature an RJ45 Receiver IN jack. The App gives you old-school, knob-turning in the form of a digital-age virtual setup.
The individual screens have clean, intuitive layouts and are setup for Volume, EQ, Power, Subwoofer, Reset, Update and About. Adjustments are audible in real-time.
Setup options (by screen) include:
Volume - Input Select, Master Volume, Left & Right Channel Levels (level/balance/by source),
Subwoofer Out Level and Max Output Limiter.
Equalizer – 10 band EQ with flat, three factory presets and one user defined setting.
Power – Auto Detect (turn-on source priority), Auto ON, Auto OFF, Clipping Protection, IR Remote Standby/Power OFF mode.
Subwoofer - Subwoofer ON/OFF, Sub/LFE, Variable Crossover, Subsonic (lowest frequency output), Slope, Phase and Mains High-pass.
Reset – App/amp default settings.
Update – Firmware updates for DBT-Taylor Programming Module and Taylor Gateway (amplifier communication link to DBT-Taylor Programming Module). About – Displays current versions of firmware for the Taylor App, DBT-Taylor, Taylor Gateway and connected amplifier.
Amp configurations can be saved as Preset Programs. Preset Programs can be selected, modified, saved and deleted for comparing setups on a given system without having to reconfigure the amp, and can be used for programming future installations with similar setups.
Though primarily intended for use as a setup device, the Taylor App and DBT-Taylor can also be used for Bluetooth Audio Streaming with IR control of tablet transport functions from the amplifier’s IR remote control.
Requires an iPad Air or iPad Mini, running Bluetooth v4.0 or better with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile). Taylor App does not run on iphone series. Also requires a Beale Street Audio or Beale Xpress DBT-Taylor Programming Module and Beale Street Audio or Beale Xpress audio amplifier with an RJ45 Receiver IN jack.
