Works quite well, I use it as a replacement for TrekBuddy (my maps required conversion to mbtiles format though). It does the job. I like it despite one or two annoyances.

Basically you can directly download OpenStreetMap, OpenCycleMap, OpenSeaMap as an app which allows you to download maps of any place in the world. FREE downloads of 3,788 city maps worldwide and millions of Points of Interest are already listed. All you have to do is just download the maps app.
Now, We would like to introduce the unique "DIY Map" feature. You can make your own offline maps in several ways outlined below.
First, you can use map files with the formats listed below without conversion.
- OziExplorer Map Data file(.map)
- Google Earth KMZ/KML file
- Kashmir3D KMZ/KML file
Second, you can use the atlas(with MBTiles SQLite format) downloaded through the Mobile Atlas Creator.
- Mobile Atlas Creator uses 25 world map sources to create an atlas. Mobile Atlas Creator is available for Mac OSX, Windows, Linux for free. (http://mobac.sourceforge.net/)
Finally, You can convert a RasterMap file into a Tile-based DIY Map DB(.diymap) using the "DIY Map Maker" provided by us. "DIY Map Maker" is available for Mac OSX, Windows for free. (http://www.builtsoft.com)
You can use NOAA RNC® (Raster Navigational Charts) as well as JPEG/TIFF for the DIY Map. NOAA provides weekly updates to the Raster Navigational Charts, which are available for free in the BSB format(.kap). NOAA RNC® are full-color digital images of NOAAs entire suite of paper charts. Here are the files supported by DIY Map Maker.

Very good app for tourist maps
Save your money, find a different app
I loaded in my own kml file, the only reason I wanted this thing, and I crashes every time I try. Save your 3$, dont buy this piece of crap.
Superbe
Superbe application de cartographie. On y trouve tout. Les cartes évidemment, leur mode hors-ligne quand la connexion est défaillante, les points dintérêt, etc. Lenregistrement GPS des parcours et le partage avec ses proches est un vrai plus. Superbe !

Mais plus moyen de lavoir en français. Le japonais est pas facile à gérer.

Lapplication est très performante et utile, mais il faudrait que les développeurs reviennent à une version française (ou au moins anglaise).
Menus en anglais
La prochaine mise à jour (selon les dires de léditeur) réglera le souci de la langue ( pas forcément en français pour autant). Cependant, pour le moment, passer votre iPad en langue anglaise (US) dans Paramètres/Général/Langues, et ensuite vous aurez tous les menus de lappli en anglais.
Mapas diferenciados! Online e offline!
Ótimos mapas, com a possibilidade de efetuar o download e utilizar em locais totalmente diferentes! Já que não é sempre que tem sinal no celular - funciona online e offline! Se vc vai viajar, vale mais a pena que um mapa de papel! ;) Usei em uma viagem e foi sensacional!
